Frederick "Fritz" Trask just thought he needed a nap. He didn't recognize that his sudden unbalanced, staggering gait was, in fact, a symptom of stroke. The University of Colorado (UCH) is helping Fritz, and other stroke patients, put their lives back on track with patient-centered physical therapy.
A stroke impacts each patient differently, so catering physical therapy to each patient is critical on the road to recovery. Fritz is currently undergoing physical rehabilitation at UCH's A.F. Williams clinic at Stapleton, where with the help of music therapy and strong family support, he is making "phenomenal" progress.
In this short video, Fritz takes you through his journey… from the onset of symptoms, through outpatient rehab, to moving on with life after a stroke.
