Johnson & Wales, a nonprofit institution, is set in a traditional campus setting with a lush, tree-lined campus full of history and tradition. Nestled between the historic Park Hill and Stapleton neighborhoods, majestic stone architecture surrounds a scenic central green, where students regularly meet for activities, or simply to relax and enjoy views of the mountains and downtown Denver.
With 20 regionally accredited degree programs in business, hospitality, and culinary arts, JWU is a recognized leader in career education for driven students seeking a competitive advantage in the global economy.
In addition to the multiple academic offerings, JWU offers a diverse and vibrant student life experience that builds not only on their professional drive, but their personal ambitions to become contributing members of society. This entails fostering programming and activities that develop leadership and character.
For some, this means participating in student clubs and organizations, varsity, club or recreational athletics, student events and activities, multicultural and leadership opportunities, as well as some of the many activities happening in one of the campuses 5 residence halls.
Although JWU is primarily known to traditional high school students looking for a career-focused education, the university will also begin offering Adult & Continuing Education classes in September 2010. Designed for convenience, classes will be offered on nights and weekends to help busy adults finish their bachelors degree in business, hospitality or culinary arts.
